If you ever have an opportunity to take a class with Bristol Ivy, do it! Her Knitting Outside the Box class was this Saturday at Fancy Tiger and it was a great session—my brain feels like it’s been stretched in some new ways and that’s always fun but also a bit painful in a good way.
I started on this yesterday and then got distracted by shiny things.
Short list this week!
Knits in the News
Ysolda interviewed Susan Crawford to discuss Susan’s new book, the Vintage Shetland Project. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
Alex Tinsley is running a Kickstarter to benefit and raise awareness for black dogs and cats and how they have trouble finding homes. If nothing else, watch the video for the montage of adorable black animals—if you’ll excuse me, I have to go cuddle my mostly black monster-cat now.
A knitting group in Tyne, United Kingdom, gathers together to recreate painted artworks in fiber. These are really cool!
This knitting-centric video won an award for best film at a film festival. Check it out!
