An island in the middle of Lake Titicaca is home to about 2,000 residents, and while all of them are involved in yarn craft in some way, only the men of the island knit the items that are sold to tourists. As this brief write up notes, this is an interesting reversal in the “traditional” (or thought to be traditional) roles of craft and gender.
