Earlier this week I had the pleasure of Ashley’s company and completely forgot to post a Kickstart on Monday, or do much of anything else bloggy related all week. But we had a wonderful visit and I was sad to see her go.
I am happy, though, to share these awesome patterns in this week’s edition of Friday Finds!
- Romi Hill is at it again with another collection of shawls. 7 Small Shawls: Home is Where the Heart is is available at the reduced price of $16 until the end of the month. If you’re a fan of Romi’s previous shawl collections, be sure to scoop up this one!
- Speaking of shawls, Paula Emons-Fuessle’s Hyla Brook ($6) is a fantastic shawl for those so-called cool summer nights. Maybe if you don’t live near the sun like I do. But it will be fall soon. It will! IT MUST.
- Maybe it’s because I’m knitting my own insane colorwork scarf and think everyone should join in the fun, but Katrina Elsaesser’s Null Hypothesis Scarf is an incredibly detailed and geeky double knit scarf. I’m breaking one of my own rules to include this pattern—it’s not currently available and there’s no release date listed (it’s part of a steampunk-inspired book)—but this scarf is that awesome. Be sure to stop by the Ladies of Mischief blog!
- Leftie (€3.60) by Martina Behm is another garter stitch shawlette, this time featuring cute little jolts of color interspersed in short-rows.
- One of my knitting designer crushes, Amy Christoffers, has yet another amazing pattern out now: Maxfield Cardigan ($7). This feels a little different for Amy, as it uses brightly colored variegated yarn in a simple chevron pattern. Love it!
- Who doesn’t love a pullover with a colorwork yoke? Especially when the colorwork is used to make the ultra cute Seahorses Sweater (£3.99) by Violet Green.
All photos are from Ravelry pattern pages unless otherwise noted.
We were obviously far too busy worrying about things like sitting around knitting and discussing superheros to blog. Oops. đŸ˜‰
