While in New York last weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Sarah of Knit York City and sitting in while she worked on a new project with Lisa and Amy of Roman Hills.
I was staying with Lisa, and she and I headed down to Troost, a cute diner-style bar in Greenpoint. I had just woken up, mostly, so I dined on a yummy poppy seed bagel and coffee while Lisa, Amy, Sarah, and Sarah’s boyfriend Jon (who, sadly, was not wearing his epic hamburger sweater that Sarah designed) set up for the project.
There may have been a whole lot of lens envy happening on my part. And by “may have been” I mean “most definitely was.”
The morning was fun, laid back, and full of fibery talk with three fabulous ladies (and one bewildered but incredibly supportive gentleman). And then it evolved into talk of lenses and Civil War reenactments, among other things. I can’t wait to see what comes from Sarah’s project—I would talk more about it, but it’s not my story to tell—and hopefully will get to see her and Lisa and Amy again in the near future!
Yay! This post totally made my day! It was so awesome meeting you and Lisa and Amy! I can’t wait for your next trip to New York!
I’m glad you had a good time, I was a little afraid we might have bowled you over with our exuberance. I walked out of Troost feeling like we were puppies! 😀 I’ll let you know when I have another trip planned, for sure.
