Well, there were only a couple of folks who entered the contest, so they get TWO sets of yarn each. If I called you out on Twitter, email me (threadpanda at gmail dot com) and let me know if you have a preference of yarns; I’ll do my best to send you the yarn this week!
I’ve got a couple more contests in the works to celebrate my blogaversary, and even stopped in to Fancy Tiger to pick up a couple of goodies today, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, here’s how the first of March’s pair of socks is turning out.
This pattern is so easy to memorize, I foresee this zipping right along when I find the time to knit. The yarn is exceptionally squishy, and somehow has a little bit of a halo for being 100% merino. It’s more loosely spun than most merino yarns I’ve worked with, so maybe that’s where the halo comes from? I’m not sure.
These socks are Vera-approved.
Oh, I love those socks! Is there a pattern you’re using? The Vine Lace looks so so pretty!
Thanks! The pattern is Farnkrautsocken, and it’s super fast and easy. 😀
Love the socks! They really do look squishy and soft. And congrats to the contest winners. I’m sorry, but I can’t allow myself to join twitter. I don’t have time for another addiction! Facebook already eats into my knitting time, and knitting often disrupts my Facebooking. What’s a girl to do?
Haha I wasn’t trying to make people join Twitter. 😉
The sock is coming out sooooo squishy, I can’t wait to wear them.
those look lovely!
Thank you!
