I can’t count. I kept thinking “yay I met my goal of finishing six sweaters” this year. And then I realized that I actually knit seven tops this year. Go me!
That’s my mom’s Essential Cardigan, my Berkshire Dolman, Loop Entrelac Tank, Whisper, Petrie, Vivian, and Owls. I had my mom try on her cardigan on December 24, and then I managed to finish it that day so she could “open” it on Christmas day.
When I set my goal of finishing six sweaters in 2010, I thought it was a goal that I would be able to accomplish, but maybe only by the skin of my teeth. I never thought that I would knit seven sweaters (the term “sweaters” is, of course, used loosely here). This makes me feel better about my twelve pairs of socks in 2011 goal.
Speaking of which, I ran the random number generator yesterday, and the first pair of socks that I’ll be knitting is going to be Nutkin, in a deep coffee-brown color. I may wind the yarn for that tonight, so I can cast on tomorrow!
I hope you all had an excellent 2010, and that 2011 brings you much luck in the yarn crafting department. Stay safe and have a happy New Year’s!
